Cintas Shares Record Revenue Year
$27 million contribution reflects a 23% increase from last fiscal year
with Employee-Partners’ for Future Retirement
CINCINNATI, — August 10, 2012 – Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS) employee-partners in North America received an additional boost to their company retirement savings plans for the fiscal year ending May 31, 2012. The Board of Directors recently approved a contribution of $27.3 million to the company’s retirement plans. The contribution marked a record 23 percent increase over last year’s contribution, bringing the company’s total contribution over the past 20 years to $354 million.
“This contribution is a reflection of our appreciation to our partners for their many years of dedicated service to our company,” said Scott Farmer, Chief Executive Officer. “We are pleased to reward our partners in this way, upholding our reputation as having one of the best benefits programs in our industry,” he added.
Cintas ended fiscal 2012 with a record $4.1 billion in revenue, a 7.7% increase from the prior fiscal year. Net income was $297.6 million and earnings per diluted share (EPS) was $2.27, a 35 percent increase from fiscal 2011.
Employee-partners at every level are eligible to participate in the Cintas Partners’ Plan or the Canadian Retirement Plan, which includes profit sharing, 401(k) contributions and an employee stock ownership program. In addition to the retirement plan, Cintas offers 12 different health plans in the U.S. so employee-partners can customize their plans according to their families’ needs. In addition, Cintas offers dental, vision, life insurance and disability insurance coverage to all employee-partners and their families.
