Cintas Named One of Best Employers in British Columbia
Company Makes Consecutive Appearances on BC Business Magazine's Bi-annual "Best List"
CINCINNATI, OH, December 17, 2004 – Cintas Corporation (Nasdaq: CTAS) ranked number five among the best employers in British Columbia according to the December edition of BC Business Magazine. In a study designed to identify the province’s 25 best companies to work for, BC Business commissioned Watson Wyatt Worldwide to survey employees and managers from leading companies across British Columbia. The 2004 results mark the second consecutive time Cintas finished in the top five. Cintas was the only company on the 2004 list to make a top-five repeat appearance.
Cintas scored high on a number of lead indicators of “productive engagement,” the factors that influence employee commitment and participation in the corporate vision. Alignment – the extent to which employees know what to do, Capability – the extent to which employees know how to do it, Resources, the extent to which employees have the tools to do it, and Motivation – the extent to which employees want to do it were all categories in which the company scored particularly high.
“Our company culture attracts people who want to work for a progressive, open-minded team – a place where open communication creates a great work environment and career opportunities,” said Kevin McCrum, Cintas’ BC General Manager. Cintas’ BC facility employs 134 people, and the company employs 28,000 at 350 facilities across North America.
