More than $2,800 and 200 boxes of children's clothes were donated by Cintas partners in Chicago as part of the company's "Clothe the Kids Program." In addition, Cintas partners in Reno, NV donated 52 cases of clothes totaling 1,000 pounds. That's approximately 20 pounds of aid donated by each employee-partner at the Reno facility.

Now in its second year, Clothe the Kids is a national Cintas initiative designed to help the poorest of the poor worldwide. Since the program's inception in 2002, Cintas employee-partners have donated more than 90,000 articles of clothing to help needy children.

"The program is important because it helps kids, especially the ones that are really in need," said Maribel Rios, an employee at Cintas' Bedford Park facility. "It says a lot about Cintas, that we are giving people - always willing to help."

Clothe the Kids takes place at more than 300 Cintas facilities across North America throughout the year. The aid is packaged by Cintas and distributed to the poorest of the poor by Cincinnati-based Matthew 25: Ministries, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit humanitarian aid organization.

In addition to Clothe the Kids, Cintas donates adult-sized garments, fabric, sewing machines, and first aid supplies through Matthew 25 programs. "The amount of aid that Cintas donates is staggering," said Reverend Wendell Mettey, President and Founder of Matthew 25. "It is truly a special company full of special people." More than 1.5 million people worldwide have received Cintas aid through Mathew 25 programs.
