Cintas Named Among FORTUNE’s "Most Admired"
Appears on Prestigious List for Ninth Consecutive Year
CINCINNATI, March 3, 2009 — Cintas Corporation (Nasdaq: CTAS) today announced it has been named among FORTUNE magazine's "Most Admired Companies" for the ninth consecutive year. Cintas has been listed among the top five most admired organizations in its industry sector every year since 2001 and has topped the list four times.
"There is no greater honor than to be recognized by one’s own peers. That’s why we are so humbled by this recognition and believe it is a direct reflection of the quality of our employee-partners and their contributions to our success," said Scott Farmer, Cintas CEO.
To determine industry lists, executives, directors and analysts were asked to select the ten companies they admired most from a list of 64 companies based in the United States and abroad. Criteria ranged from investment value to social responsibility.
In addition to FORTUNE's Most Admired, Cintas has been ranked among the Best Employers in Canada by Report on Business magazine, was included on the 2008 list of the Top 50 Military-Friendly Employers as chosen by G.I. Jobs Magazine and earned the 2008 Trailblazer Award from the South Central Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council for excellence in supplier development.
