ONLINE CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (SUSTAINABILITY) TRAINING COURSE
Increasing attention is being paid to the impact that a company’s activities have on the environment, consumers, employees, the communities where they operate, and society in general. The overall concern is one of sustainability — the challenge to provide the goods and services consumers need today while protecting the needs of future generations. Simply put, as companies grow, they require more resources but those resources are not necessarily infinite. To ensure they don’t deplete tomorrow’s resources today, companies must focus on corporate social responsibility (CSR).
To practice CSR means honoring the "triple bottom line" of people, planet and profit, not just in words but also in actions. To this end, companies are establishing policies and practices that demonstrate a sincere respect for sustainability and that integrate responsible behaviors into everyday operations throughout the organization.
The Cintas, 20-minute Online Corporate Social Responsibility Course provides an overview of CSR and sustainability, including how employees can incorporate these concepts into their daily work. The course can be customized via a template — "CSR highlights" — to your company’s own specific CSR activities. The content features quizzes, news briefs and real-world issues that employees should learn to identify and respond to appropriately. Topics include:
- Corporate Social Responsibility — defined
- Why is Corporate Social Responsibility so important?
- Understanding eco-efficiency
- Corporate Social Responsibility — how to determine responsible performance
- Key elements of Corporate Social Responsibility
