Cintas announces Virginia Lineman as Winner & Grand Prize Finalist
Cincinnati, OH, May 1, 2010 — Carhartt and Cintas have launched its search for North America’s toughest workers. The Are You Carhartt Tough? Contest is being conducted in conjunction with the roll-out of a new line of Carhartt Workwear offered for the first time in a Uniform Rental Program.
With Ducks Unlimited acting as media sponsor, contest organizers have reached out to the workforce in the United States and Canada to identify people who are strong, dependable, resilient and rugged. After hundreds of contest submissions, Cintas, Carhartt and Ducks Unlimited are proud to announce Jonathan Backus from Hampton, VA as a Grand Prize Finalist and the first quarterly winner!

The epitome of strength both personally and professionally, Jonathan works in dangerous high-voltage conditions in all types of weather to keep power up and running. From climbing wood poles with gaffs or steel towers upwards of 300 feet tall, to working on energized lines reaching 34,500 volts on a daily basis, Jonathan IS Carhartt Tough!
For his tough attitude and pride he takes in his work, Cintas is pleased to announce Jonathan as the first quarterly winner of $500 in Carhartt merchandise.
The Are You Carhartt Tough? Contest is still searching for North America’s toughest workers. Quarterly winners will be chosen to receive $500 in Carhartt merchandise and nine additional Grand Prize finalists will be selected. At the contest’s completion, two Grand Prize winners will receive a weekend duck hunt trip designed by Ducks Unlimited or a trip to The STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series in 2011.
