Cintas recognized by Arkansas Department of Labor with accumulative years safety award
SEARCY, AR., November 13, 2007 — The Arkansas Department of Labor and the State of Arkansas Worker’s Compensation Commission has recognized Cintas Corporation, the nation’s leading business-services company, with the Accumulative Years Safety Award for operating four consecutive years without a lost-time accident. Cintas, which provides more than 800,000 customers with uniforms, mats, restroom supplies, document management and shredding, first aid supplies and other services, is only the seventh company this year to achieve the honor in the state of Arkansas.
Richard D. Steward, Jr., Program Support Manager with the Arkansas Department of Labor and Patrica Burge, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Health and Safety Division for the Arkansas Workers Compensation Commission, presented the award to members of Cintas’ Safety Team, as well as Lester Allen, General Manager, and Brad McNeese, Central Plains Group Vice President. The presentation, held November 9, 2007 at the Cintas facility located at 101 W. Beebe-Capps in Searcy, included a pizza party for all employee-partners and a plant tour for Cintas’ guests.
Cintas operates three laundry facilities, two branches and a manufacturing plant in the state of Arkansas. Eighty-one employee-partners work for Cintas in Searcy. That amounts to nearly 674,000 hours worked without a lost day due to an accident. “It was exciting to see our partners in Searcy receive this award,” said McNeese. "I am very proud of them, particularly our frontline partners who are clearly leading the way in making safety a number one priority in everything they do. We were also thrilled to have the opportunity to show off our plant to representatives from the Arkansas Department of Labor and Workers’ Compensation Commission," he added.
