Cintas Ranked Among Canada's "Best Employers"
CINCINNATI, January 29, 2008 — Cintas Corporation (Nasdaq: CTAS) was recently ranked among the best employers in Canada by Report on Business Magazine, a monthly publication in Canada's Globe and Mail news. The recognition marks the company's fourth consecutive appearance on the magazine's "50 Best Employers List."
"To be consistently recognized as a top employer is a reflection of the culture that makes Cintas successful at all of our locations across North America," said Scott Farmer, CEO of Cintas. "Our culture attracts partners who want to work in a positive environment, where teamwork and open communications are highly regarded and where career opportunities abound," he added.
Report on Business commissioned Hewitt Associates, a global human resources company, to survey employees at leading businesses across Canada. More than 100,000 Canadian employees at 115 organizations completed the survey. The study focused on employee engagement, the factors that influence an employee's overall commitment to the organization.
Neil Crawford, who led the study for Hewitt, praised winning companies for engaging employees and responding to their needs.
"What we are seeing is that many employers are increasingly focused on how to sustain and increase the engagement of their employees," Crawford said. "They are committing significant resources and time to listen carefully to all segments of their workforce — and adjust the work environment, their expectations of managers and leaders, and their human resources programs in response to what employees are saying."
