Cintas Statement Regarding Recent Decision In Hayward Living-Wage Lawsuit
CINCINNATI, OH, May 17, 2006 –In reference to decisions in a lawsuit surrounding a local living-wage ordinance in Hayward, California, Cintas provides the following response:
“As a company of employee-shareholders, Cintas has been recognized as a fair and progressive employer, in which employee ‘partners’ are offered market-based salaries, great benefits and generous retirement packages – all within an environment of trust and respect. We invest significantly in our partners’ safety and well-being, and work hard to be an employer-of-choice in every community we serve. We value our partners and their families, working hard to treat everyone with fairness, respect and dignity, and we continue to evaluate this judge’s decisions in this particular situation. Cintas does not believe that it was in violation of the Hayward ordinance, and respectfully disagrees with many aspects of the Court's ruling.”
