Community Involvement
Grassroots Philanthropy
At Cintas, we are committed to giving back to the communities in which we live, work, and play.
Many of our locations volunteer their time to help organizations such as:
The American Red Cross,
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation,
The American Heart Association,
The March of Dimes,
The United Way, and
Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
One of the company’s greatest
community outreach programs takes
place each year in Cincinnati – the “Cintas
Team Spirit Program.” As
part of the program, Cintas hosts
25 children from greater Cincinnati
youth organizations at each Xavier
University home basketball game.
Center court seats, snacks, and
commemorative T-shirts are provided,
and a $1,000 savings bond is awarded
at five of the games. What does
the experience mean to these children?
One 12-year-old Girl Scout summed
it up best by stating, "I
want to go to college and get a
good education. I want to be a
doctor of some kind.”
Participants in the Cintas Team
Spirit Program have included: St.
Francis DeSales, Friends of the
Children, Evanston Recreational
Center, Cincinnati Youth Collaborative,
Parham Elementary, Peaslee Neighborhood
Center, Covington Community Center,
Project Connect, Children's home
of Cincinnati, YWCA, Big Brothers
Big Sisters, Girl Scouts of Greater
Cincinnati, Friar's Club of Clifton,
Bond Hill Academy, Inner City Youth
Opportunities, Norwood Middle School,
Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater
Cincinnati, and A Step Ahead Learning
Center.
