Hyatt Regency Boston Wins Cintas' "Define Your Design" Makeover Contest

Grand Prize: $50,000 Apparel Makeover from Cintas

CINCINNATI, OH, November 26, 2004 – At a special awards presentation at the Hotel/Motel and Restaurant Show in New York, the Cintas National Accounts Sales Division announced that Boston’s Hyatt Regency hotel was selected to win the company’s “Define Your Design” makeover contest. The prize … a complete apparel makeover from Cintas - valued at $50,000. The makeover begins in January and should be completed by April 2005.

“Would you ever serve Beluga caviar to a queen on a paper plate,” said Allison DePhillips, Assistant Banquets Manager at the Hyatt Regency Boston in her contest-winning entry.  “What better way to carry a new look throughout our hotel then with a Cintas label on all of our employees’ backs.”

Hotels, restaurants, clubs, and other members of the country’s hospitality industry were invited to submit their entries at the contest’s web site, www.defineyourdesign.com by September 30, 2004. The company that best demonstrated the greatest need for a Cintas makeover - in 200 words or less - would receive the prize. Boston’s Hyatt Regency was selected from nearly 200 entries, and they will “Define Their Design” for work apparel with a full line of Cintas garments and accessories valued at $50,000.

"A uniform should "define the design" of a restaurant, hotel, or casino,” said Bill Cronin, President of the Cintas National Account Sales Division . “That is why we decided to call attention to our new designs through this contest. We congratulate the Hyatt Regency Boston and thank everyone who participated."

Award-winning fashion designer Cynthia Rowley – best known for her designs worn by Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Sarah Jessica Parker and Dave Matthews – was the celebrity judge for the contest.
