Cintas Receives Corporate Humanitarian Award

CINCINNATI, OH, November 18, 2003 - More than 400 people attended a Matthew 25: Ministries awards ceremony to honor Cintas Corporation and others for their support of the non-profit's humanitarian initiatives. The Cincinnati-based uniform provider received the interfaith organization's "Corporate Humanitarian Award," the highest award given by Mathew 25 for public service.

"Few companies do more good for more people than Cintas," said Reverend Wendell Mettey, Matthew 25 President and Founder. "Their helping hands have helped us touch more than 1.5 million people worldwide," he said. Since 1998, Cintas has donated clothing, sewing machines, fabric, and millions of medical supplies to support numerous Mathew 25 programs, including:

Clothing A Needy World:
Cintas has donated inventory to provide clothing for children and families.

Clothe The Kids:
Cintas employee-partners across the country band together to collect gently worn kids' clothes for the needy.

Fabric Of Hope:
Part of the Ministries' priorities is "to provide hope and dignity to the poorest of the poor and to teach them to be self-sufficient." To this end, Cintas has donated sewing machines and fabric so that men and women can start and sustain their own sewing businesses in their communities.

Healthier Tomorrows:
Cintas' First Aid and Safety Division has donated medicine and medical supplies for communities in developing countries.

Cleaner World . . . Healthier Kids:
Cintas arranged for additional relationships between suppliers and Matthew 25 Ministries for donations of anti-bacterial soaps and other items to fight illness and disease.

"We are honored to accept this award," said Cintas CEO, Scott Farmer. "It is a reflection of our culture and our employee-partners' strong sense of caring for the welfare of others.
