President-elect Brings Valuable Experience to IEST

Jan Eudy Assumes Leadership Role on Executive Board

The Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST) has named Cintas Corporation's Jan Eudy their new President-elect through 2004. An IEST member since 1996, Eudy will be replacing Robert Anderson as the organization's second highest ranking leader.

"I look forward to helping the Executive Board position IEST as the primary source for recommended practices and standards," said Eudy. "The organization is gaining the momentum necessary to become the preferred, internationally recognized source for contamination standards," she said.

Mrs. Eudy will hold her position as president-elect through 2004, chairing the ESTECH 2004 Exposition and assisting the current president, Robert Anderson. Later in 2004, Eudy will assume Anderson's position as president through 2005. Her short and long-term goals are strong fiscal management and international recognition for the organization.

Among her many accomplishments, Eudy has been an active, voting member of IEST working groups RP-3, 22, 23, and 32. In addition, as Technical Vice President of the Contamination Control Division from 2001-2003, she was responsible for reviewing and approving RP-18, 28, 22, 4, and 5. Eudy will receive the Monroe Seligman award this May at the ESTECH 2003 Exposition in Phoenix. The award is for exceptional leadership resulting in the publication of significant recommended standards.

As the Corporate Quality Assurance Manager for the Cincinnati-based, Cintas Cleanroom Resources Division, Eudy oversees research and development, directs the quality system and ISO registration process, and supports the company's validation and sterile services business component. She has been with Cintas for almost seven years, and has been in the contamination control industry for 15 years.

Eudy earned her undergraduate degree in Medical Technology from the University of Wisconsin and completed her graduate studies in Medical Microbiology at Creighton University. She is a registered medical technologist and specialist in microbiology with ASCP, a registered microbiologist with NRM in consumer product testing and quality assurance, and an ISO 9000 lead assessor and certified quality auditor with ASQ. An avid traveler and sailor, Eudy lives with her husband and has three grown children and two grand children.
