Cintas Recognized as “Good Corporate Citizen” by Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts
CINCINNATI – The Sanitation Districts of Los Angels County recently presented Cintas Corporation’s (Nasdaq: CTAS) Ontario, CA facility with its “Good Corporate Citizen” certificate for wastewater compliance.
Now in its eighth year, the certificate program was created
by the Sanitation Districts’ Industry Advisory Council
to recognize companies for outstanding compliance. To qualify
for the award, companies must have met their limits for wastewater
discharge, remained free from any notices or violations in
2003, maintained their environmental equipment, and fulfilled
all of their permit requirements.
“It’s appropriate to recognize companies which
have devoted time and money to achieve full compliance,”
said Paul Martain, head of the Sanitation Districts’
Industrial Waste Section. James Stahl, Chief Engineer and
General Manager of the Sanitation Districts added, “As
far as we’re concerned, the 381 companies receiving
certificates are our model citizens.”
