Cintas Receives "Service Partnership Award" from Chesterfield Community Services Board - Richmond, VA
Company Recognized for Providing Opportunities to People with Disabilities
The Chesterfield County Community Services Board recently honored Cintas Corporations’ Richmond facility with its “Service Partnership Award” for exemplifying excellence in hiring, accommodating and serving individuals with disabilities. The award represents the highest level of recognition given by Chesterfield Employment Services for support of their mission – the normalization and integration of workers with developmental disabilities.
“We’re honored to be recognized by Chesterfield Employment Services,” said Cintas General Manager, Howard Baron. “The award reflects the culture of our company and the character of our employee-partners in Richmond , as well as at all of our Cintas locations.”
For years, Cintas has been working with Chesterfield Employment Services to provide opportunities to people with disabilities. Cintas’ Richmond facility now provides career training opportunities to 10 people whose job responsibilities help bring them into the mainstream workforce.

Cintas received numerous awards for its support of persons with disabilities in 2004, including: The “Contractor of the Year Award” from JVS (Jewish Vocational Services) in Detroit , Michigan , the “APSE Award” from the Massachusetts Association for Persons in Supported Employment, and a “Certificate of Appreciation” from the Mid-Hudson Employment Alliance in Newburgh, New York.
