Cintas Gaming and Hotel Apparel Programs Win 2015 Image of the Year Awards

The Cromwell and Streamsong Resort win for fashionable and functional designs
CHICAGO - April 15, 2015 - For the 16th consecutive year Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS) received Image of the Year Awards (IOY) during a banquet held by the North American Association of Uniform Manufacturers & Distributors (NAUMD) in Orlando, Fla. Presented by the Image Apparel Institute (IAI), a division of the NAUMD, the 2015 IOY awards recognize fashion, function, creativity and innovation. The industry's most celebrated designers, journalists and fashion authorities recognized Cintas customers The Cromwell, the only stand-alone boutique hotel in Las Vegas, and Streamsong Resort with awards in the gaming and single-unit hotel categories.

"We are honored to have two of our distinguished clients selected for this prestigious award," said Kristin Sharp, Director of Design and Merchandising at Cintas. “This is a testament to the way our fashion designers work with our customers to create retail-inspired, functional fashions that enhance their professional image."

Winner in the gaming category, The Cromwell, the first boutique hotel casino on the Las Vegas strip, partnered with Cintas to create an apparel program to match its boutique-minded guests. Designed so employees could proudly wear it outside of work, the sleek and minimalistic collection includes fitted blazers, shirts and vests that mirror current runway styles. From hotel operations to the casino, each job function has its own unique look that complements the others.

"Our guests are attracted to our bold and sophisticated ambiance, so we wanted to create a fashion forward, yet functional apparel program that matches that image," said Karie Hall, Vice President and General Manager, The Cromwell. "Not only was Cintas able to bring our vision to life by designing a uniform that our employees are proud to wear and our guests admired, they also made the process easy, a key to making this program work."

The award for single-unit hotels went to the apparel program at the Streamsong Resort in Florida, a resort that takes the everyday ordinary to the absolutely extraordinary. Fourmy, Cintas' luxury division, designed a uniform program that blends seamlessly with the other elements of the property. The collection features a contrast of colors, including warm and earthy colors for the front of the house and cooler neutrals for the food and beverage outlets.

"Our staff's apparel is a detail that's just as important to the overall Streamsong guest experience as elements like our architecture, art, golf, culinary options, and outdoor activities. It helps tell us the story of this unique place," said Tom Sunnarborg, vice president – land development and management for The Mosaic Company, which owns Streamsong. “Working collaboratively with our architects, operators and ownership group, Cintas created an apparel program that perfectly captures the spirit of the resort."

Additionally, for the first time ever, Cintas was honored with a Best Dressed Public Safety Award from the NAUMD for the uniform program designed for the State of Connecticut Judicial Marshal Services. Cintas re-designed the Marshal Services' program to create a more classic and professional law enforcement look. Featuring an improved tailored-look the new uniforms include custom heather grey shirts to set the Marshals apart from other local and state departments.
