Cintas Makes Donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati

Donation allows one family to stay at the House for more than a month

CINCINNATI - Feb. 7, 2013 - Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS) today announced that it has made a donation to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Greater Cincinnati. The financial contribution is made in lieu of holiday gifts to Cintas’ top customers. With a cost of 95 dollars per family per night, Cintas’ $3,000 donation will allow one family to stay at the House for more than a month while their child receives treatment at a nearby hospital.

“Cintas’ generous donation will provide health, hope and a ‘home away from home’ for the family of a child receiving life-saving medical treatment,” said Jennifer Goodin, Executive Director, RMHC of Greater Cincinnati. “Our House depends on our community, and without the help of local companies like Cintas, we would not be able to provide the love and support these families need each day.”

The Greater Cincinnati House serves 78 families each night and has 20 to 60 more families on a wait list each day. The House handles cooking, cleaning and shopping so that families can focus on their children and have a “home away from home.” Since 2010, Cintas employee-partners have been involved in planning, preparing and serving several meals for nearly 120 people at the House. Cintas will next host a breakfast at the House on May 25.

Since RMHC is not entirely funded by McDonald’s and its customers, the organization depends on donations from outside organizations to cover more than 85 percent of operating costs. Cintas helps contribute through its annual E.A.R.T.H. (Every Area Recycling Tabs Helps!) Campaign, which encourages employee-partners to collect aluminum soda can pull tabs to be converted into funds for the organization. In 2012, Cintas collected 103 pounds of tabs, which contributed to the $20,000 raised for the Cincinnati house last year.

“Contributing to the mission of the RMHC of Greater Cincinnati was important since many of our employee-partners are so heavily invested in the relationship,” said Brian Garry, Senior Director of Marketing, Cintas. “We’re glad that we’ve been able to help support families so that they can focus on the health of their loved ones.”
