Our Team Driven approach has proved successful for more than 80 years. Our company’s roots date back to the Great Depression, when our founder’s great grandparents began reclaiming and cleaning rags for local factories. Today, we clothe more than five million people for work every day.
We are more than uniforms. Cintas also provides facility services, safety supplies, fire protection solutions, flame resistant clothing, cleanroom resources, and promotional products. We are the service professionals, providing countless supplies and services to businesses small and large throughout the world.
Our specialty is the multi-billion dollar service industry, a field that we proudly lead, providing the best products and implementing the best customer service practices in the industry. Cintas’ home base is in Cincinnati, Ohio, and operates more than 400 facilities in North America, Asia, Europe and Latin America, including six manufacturing plants, nine distribution centers and an impressive fleet of over 10,000 trademark white trucks.

To ensure our workforce remains strong and diverse, we actively recruit students and graduates from various Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). We do the same from Hispanic Serving Colleges and Universities.

Inspired by the waste-not ethos of our founder, Cintas’ green efforts are truly transforming the company and the communities we operate in.
How does Cintas positively impact the environment?
Every year, we conduct 14,000 wastewater tests. We currently recycle up to 50% of the wash water at many of our laundry operations, helping preserve natural resources and diminishing our need for intake water. We have invested more than $4 million in research in the pursuit of a “zero-discharge” water-recycling technology. And it doesn’t end there.
