With the adoption of GHS, OSHA requires employee training for updates. This course will provide an introduction to GHS to assist facilities in meeting regulations. The program will cover the Globally Harmonized System for the Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. It reviews what the GHS is all about, why OSHA adopted the GHS, and the phase-in dates for implementing the GHS. Specific topics include hazard classification, the Safety Data Sheet, and what’s on a GHS label (signal words, hazard statements, and pictograms).
