technician who makes a difference

C.A.P.E. Award | Cintas

The Cintas C.A.P.E. (Cleaning to Advance the Patient Experience) Award celebrates EVS technicians in healthcare facilities who are at the frontline of care, helping to provide clean and safe environments for workers, patients and visitors across the country. Nominate an EVS superhero who might not wear a cape but plays a critical role in cleaning and sanitizing every day.

Nominations are now open through November 20, 2026.

Winners will receive

  • $2,500 cash prize
  • $2,500 donation to their healthcare institution or charity of choice
  • A brand-new Rubbermaid® cleaning cart
  • Cintas–AHE scholarship package, including one scholarship for their institution’s EVS trainer to attend an AHE Train the Trainer program (T-CHEST, T-CSCT, or T-CNACC) and a scholarship for the winning technician to earn an AHE certification (CHEST, CSCT, or CNACC)

Up to 12 winners will be chosen in conjunction with the C.A.R.E. Awards, our sister program for long-term care communities.
