Community Impact
We start every day with an understanding that we can make an impact for good. It drives our decisions. It fuels our actions. And it influences our future planning. It is both our privilege and our pledge to act: locally, nationally, globally. Our communities are an integral part of our success. When they thrive, all of us are better for it.
We channel servant-led passion and use it for boots-on-the-ground community service, financial support of numerous not-for-profits, and nurturing a mindset among all our employee-partners that we are here to build something greater than all of us. We’re constantly looking for ways to do more. We understand the obligation we have as a corporation to do the right thing, and we work towards that, every day. From helping schools get the supplies they need, to helping to fund research and prevention of heart disease and cancer, Cintas defines success by looking at what we’re doing to improve our communities.
We’re with our customers for a better workday, and we’re with our communities for a better world.
COMMUNITY IMPACT & PHILANTHROPY
We asked ourselves how we could best amplify our reach. Our answer? The Impact Champion program that helps bring our initiatives to life.
CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS
At the core of our philanthropic success is the passion our employee-partners have for helping others and giving back. With hundreds of Cintas locations across North America, we have the potential to do so much. But how best to integrate what we’re doing at a corporate level with our local operations?
Our 260 Impact Champions help make it possible for us to reach farther and deeper in our charitable involvement. These employee-partners represent all facets of Cintas, and work with their local human resources teams to generate awareness of our philanthropic efforts and to get even more Cintas employee-partners involved.
Our six primary philanthropic partnerships and initiatives are carefully chosen to be an extension of the work we do in businesses across North America every day. They include:
- American Cancer Society
- American Diabetes Association
- American Heart Association
- National Fallen Firefighters Foundation
- Matthew 25 Ministries
- Cintas Partners Assistance Fund

Our work for these charitable organizations is diverse and reflects who and what we offer as a company. While we have corporate sponsorships and involvement, our real reach is done by our employee-partners. We value the interlacing fiber that connects us all, and we look for ways to extend our arc of charitable involvement.
For example, our year-round involvement with Matthew 25: Ministries translates into support for victims of natural disasters in the United States and around the world. Dozens of times a year, you’ll find Cintas employee-partners in Matthew 25: Ministries’ warehouses helping to sort, organize and pack much-needed supplies like personal care items, household items and cleaning materials. Cintas donates tens of thousands of items annually to help stock the trucks and airplanes that will ultimately deliver aid to communities ravaged by earthquakes, floods, tornadoes and more.
Every summer, we provide first aid and safety cabinets to 45 organized camps in 28 states for children living with diabetes. Our employee-partners are active fundraisers and participants in the Relay for Life, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and the Heart Mini-Marathon. As a proud sponsor of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign, we encourage our female employee-partners to take charge of their heart health and raise awareness that cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of women.
LOCAL INVOLVEMENT
Our 400 locations across the United States means we have the power to be of service in thousands of neighborhoods and communities. We’re proud of the work we do in the places we too call home.
Clara White Mission
Our regional Fire Protection Sales Teams volunteered at Clara White Mission in Jacksonville, FL. In a project called Housing for Veterans, we helped clean rooms, hang pictures and prepare for the arrival of Veterans.
Support for People Experiencing Homelessness
Members of our First Aid and Safety teams in our North Central Region collected 6,634 pairs of socks to distribute to local shelters for people experiencing homelessness.
Community Recovery
Employee-partners from our Morgantown, WV location delivered towels, toiletries, cleaning supplies and other necessities to families displaced by flooding.
