Cintas Wins Top Innovator Award from Apparel Magazine

Cintas honored for its Regeneration™ Suiting and MCS Adaptive® Technology collections

CHICAGO - May 16, 2016 - Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS) today announced that is has won a Top Innovator Award from Apparel Magazine for its Regeneration™ Suiting and MCS®  Adaptive technology collections. The annual awards recognize apparel retailers, brands and manufacturers that have demonstrated innovation when it comes to harnessing technology to please their customers and make their businesses run better.

“We’re honored to be recognized by Apparel Magazine and in the company of so many distinguished apparel retailers, such as Lacoste and Vivienne Westwood,” said Todd McKeown, Vice President Direct Sale Strategic Markets, Cintas. “Together, our R&D and award-winning design teams are consistently first-to-market in the uniform industry with innovative garment technologies and designs built with the wearer in mind to help employees get Ready for the Workday®.”

The Regeneration™ Suiting Collection, made from 100 percent recycled polyester, features the industry’s first anti-bacterial suiting fabric, EcoGir®, and Odegon Shields® to block odor. EcoGir fabric reduces the number of germs on the garment and prevents the growth of bacteria that create odors. Placed in the arm holes of the Regeneration™ Suiting Collection, the Odegon Shields trap odor molecules leaving a fresh scent. The line also features silhouettes with a modern fit to help employees feel confident and look fashionable. These features keep the wearer cooler and comfortable, and reduce the need to wash uniforms as often, extending the life of the garment.

Cintas enhanced its Flexique® housekeeping collection by adding MCSAdaptive® technology. This customer-driven innovation is designed to absorb and move moisture away from the body to cool wearers off or keep them warm, depending on environmental conditions.

“Cintas has the challenging task of designing uniforms that not only look great, but also perform well throughout the workday,” said Jordan Speer, Editor-in-Chief, Apparel Magazine. “We honor them for listening to their customers and designing uniforms that are fashionable and functional.”

To honor all Top Innovators, an invitation-only special reception and dinner will be held at the 16th annual Apparel Executive Forum Oct. 5-7 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
