Cintas Celebrates 10 Years of Partner Driven Safety Innovation at Ergonomics Competition

Cintas marked a decade of innovation in workplace safety by celebrating its 10th annual Ergonomics Competition at the company’s headquarters in Mason, Ohio.

A total of 19 finalist teams earned the opportunity to compete in the 2026 Ergonomics Competition, representing the most impactful, employee-partner-driven ergonomic solutions from across the organization.

“We want every single partner to be engaged in continuously improving safety and I think this best showcases that with this wonderful event,” said Cintas Ergonomics Engineer and President of the Applied Ergonomics Society Kristine D.

Each year, the competition empowers frontline employee-partners to identify workplace challenges, develop practical solutions and share ideas that make daily work safer for their peers. Several of these ideas from previous years have ultimately been implemented at Cintas facilities throughout the country. The competition also fosters meaningful connections across the organization, bringing frontline employee-partners together with Cintas’ top executives, who serve as judges.

“It means a lot to be part of the competition that has such a large impact,” said Safety and Compliance Specialist Anthony O.

That impact extends beyond Cintas, drawing recognition from external safety leaders who see the competition as a meaningful driver of workplace health and injury prevention.

“I think that this type of event just really speaks to the commitment that Cintas has to the health and safety and overall wellbeing really of its employees,” said Gary Allread, Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Ergonomics Technical Advisor and competition guest judge.

The competition underscores Cintas’ belief that safety excellence is a shared responsibility driven by engaged employee-partners, supported by leadership and strengthened through continuous improvement.
